JefrOBeatS, born Tokonizi Praise Abila, is an artist from Bayelsa State, Nigeria, representing a new wave of sound that blends Afrotrap, Afrobeats, and psychedelic elements into something fluid, emotional, and genuinely difficult to categorise. His story begins in the church, where he first developed a natural sense of rhythm behind the drums. Music came early, but support did not. He navigated a constant clash between family expectation and creative instinct, yet kept going. With the quiet backing of his older brother, he found his way into a studio and began recording in private. What started as an outlet slowly became something he could not walk away from.
